STAY ALIVE

The STAY ALIVE Tournament is a unique GARRINCHA format where every game counts.

The tournament starts with a group stage, where every team plays three matches. Based on the final standings, all teams advance to the Stay Alive Finals.

• Top 2 of each group: start with 2 lives

• 3rd & 4th place: start with 1 life

During the Stay Alive Finals, the match-ups are randomly drawn before every round, so you'll face a different opponent each time. It is not possible to play against the same team twice. If that happens during the draw, a new draw will take place.

Lose a match? You lose one life. Once you have no lives left, you're eliminated. The rounds continue until only one team remains: the team that Stayed Alive.

Every team plays at least 4 matches (3 group-stage matches + at least 1 Stay Alive Finals match).

Group Stage

• 16 or 32 participants

• 15-minute matches

• The first point determines which team serves first

• Every match is played with golden point

• You keep counting games until the time runs out

• The number of games won determines the final group ranking

Stay Alive Finals

• 15-minute matches

• Match-ups are randomly drawn before every round

• Every team receives GARRINCHA wristbands representing their lives

• Lose a match and hand in one wristband

• As long as you still have lives left, you advance to the next round

🏆 The last team standing wins the STAY ALIVE Tournament.
